Installation, Cleaning & Maintenance
Installation
  • Mounting: Extend the tripod's three legs, insert the support rod into the fixture's connector interface, and secure with the screws and mounting knob. The fixture can also be rigged overhead using M10-rated hardware and a safety cable.
  • Placement: Keep a minimum of 1.6 ft (0.5 m) from objects and surfaces, and at least 8 in (20 cm) from flammable materials. Position the tripod on flat, stable ground away from foot traffic.
  • Laser Safety: Mount so the laser apertures project above head height and never aim laser output at people, animals, aircraft, vehicles, or reflective surfaces. Do not operate the fixture with damaged or missing lens covers.
  • UV Safety: The strobe section emits high-intensity UV light (395–400nm, Risk Group 3). Avoid direct eye and skin exposure, and never stare into the fixture during operation.
  • Safety: When suspending overhead, always attach an appropriately rated safety cable — never rely on the clamp alone. Never stand directly below the fixture during rigging.
  • Power: Connect to a properly grounded outlet. This is a Class 1 fixture — never remove the ground prong, and never connect it to a dimmer pack.
  • DMX Wiring: Connect DMX In/Out in a daisy chain and set each unit's starting address (e.g., in 21-CH mode: unit 1 = 1, unit 2 = 22, unit 3 = 43).
Cleaning
  • Lenses: Wipe the bee eye, PAR, ring, and laser aperture lenses with a soft microfiber cloth — dust dulls beam definition and laser pattern sharpness.
  • Housing: Wipe the chassis with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents, and never spill liquid onto the fixture, power system, or remote.
  • Ventilation: Keep vent openings clear of dust to maintain proper cooling.
Maintenance
  • Inspection: Periodically check the tripod locks, mounting screws, and any rigging hardware for tightness and wear.
  • Cooling: Power the fixture down when not in use, and allow about 15 minutes of cool-down before handling or servicing.
  • Operating Limit: Do not operate when ambient temperature exceeds 104°F (40°C).

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Why is it called 6-in-1?

The head combines six effect types in one fixture: an RGBW PAR wash, dual rotating bee eye beam lights, a white + UV strobe, RGB glow rings, a red & green laser, and a laser pattern projector — all controlled together from one stand, one power cord, and one remote.

Does the UV strobe work like a blacklight?

Yes — the strobe section combines white LEDs with UV LEDs (395–400nm), so it can flash in white, glow-style UV, or both, making fluorescent paint, posters, and clothing glow. Avoid direct eye and skin exposure at close range.

What is a bee eye light?

A bee eye uses a faceted honeycomb lens over a rotating RGBW LED cluster to split the output into dozens of moving, kaleidoscope-style beams. This fixture has one at each end of the head — an effect a flat wash can't produce.

Can multiple units run in sync?

Yes. Connect units via DMX In/Out in Master-Slave mode and slaves will follow the master's program. You can also give each unit its own DMX address for independent control from a console. When multiple units run together, only the master responds to the IR remote.
