Installation, Cleaning & Maintenance
Installation
  • Mounting: Extend the tripod's three legs, raise the support rod to the desired height, and seat the fixture head on the bracket. The fixture can also be rigged overhead using M10-rated hardware and a safety cable.
  • Placement: Keep a minimum of 1.6 ft (0.5 m) from objects and surfaces, and at least 8 in (20 cm) from flammable materials. Position the tripod on flat, stable ground away from foot traffic.
  • Safety: When suspending overhead, always attach an appropriately rated safety cable — never rely on the clamp alone. Never stand directly below the fixture during rigging.
  • Power: Connect to a properly grounded outlet. This is a Class 1 fixture — never remove the ground prong, and never connect it to a dimmer pack.
  • DMX Wiring: Connect DMX In/Out in a daisy chain and set each unit's starting address (e.g., in 12-CH mode: unit 1 = 1, unit 2 = 13, unit 3 = 25).
Cleaning
  • Lenses: Wipe the PAR, derby, and pixel bar lenses with a soft microfiber cloth — dust dulls both color output and the derby beam patterns.
  • Housing: Wipe the chassis with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents, and never spill liquid onto the fixture or remote.
  • Ventilation: Keep vent openings clear of dust to maintain proper cooling.
Maintenance
  • Inspection: Periodically check the tripod locks, mounting bracket, and any rigging hardware for tightness and wear.
  • Cooling: Power the fixture down when not in use, and allow about 15 minutes of cool-down before handling or servicing.
  • Operating Limit: Do not operate when ambient temperature exceeds 104°F (40°C).

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What are the five lights in this fixture?

Two RGBW PAR lights for color washes, two rotating derby (magic ball) lights for multi-beam effects, and a center pixel bar that combines 96 RGB LEDs with a separate 48-LED white strobe — all in one head on the included tripod.

Can I use it without a DMX controller?

Yes. Auto mode runs built-in programs, Sound Active mode syncs all sections to music through the built-in mic (sensitivity adjustable 0–99), and the included IR remote controls modes, colors, and speeds wirelessly. DMX is optional.

What can the IR remote control?

The 21-key remote switches between Auto, Sound, and Static Color modes for each section (combined, PAR, derby, pixel bar), adjusts effect and speed, sets derby rotation speed, sound sensitivity, strobe, and can even set the DMX address. In Master-Slave setups, only the master unit responds to the remote.

Can multiple units run in sync?

Yes. Connect units via DMX In/Out in Master-Slave mode and slaves will follow the master's program. You can also give each unit its own DMX address for independent control from a console.
