Installation, Cleaning & Maintenance
Installation
  • Mounting: Install horizontally, at an angle, or fully inverted via the dual-yoke handle. Use a standard mounting clamp (sold separately) for truss rigging.
  • Safety: Always pass a safety cable through both the truss/support structure and the fixture's mounting handle as secondary support. Keep walkways below the rig clear during installation.
  • Grounding: Connect the green or green-yellow conductor to a properly grounded Class I outlet before powering on.
  • Acclimation: If the unit has been exposed to extreme temperatures (e.g., during transport), let it return to room temperature before connecting power to avoid condensation damage.
  • DMX Wiring: Use shielded twisted-pair DMX cable; terminate the last fixture in the chain with a 120Ω resistor across pins 2 and 3.
Cleaning
  • Front Lens: Wipe the glass lens periodically with a soft microfiber cloth — dust on the condenser lens directly degrades beam tightness.
  • Color & Gobo Wheels: Have a qualified technician clean the internal optics every 6 months in heavy-use environments. Do not open the housing yourself.
  • Vents & Fans: Air-blow dust out of the intake vents and heat-sink fins every 200 hours of operation.
Maintenance
  • Inspection: Regularly check that all mounting screws, hooks, and safety cables are tight and free of wear.
  • Run-Hour Tracking: Use the on-board menu (Info → Use Hour / Light Hour) to track total run time for scheduled servicing.
  • Service: Stop using the fixture if movement, focus, or wheel motors behave abnormally, and contact authorized service.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Is this a beam, wash, or spot fixture?

This is a dedicated beam fixture with a tight 4° beam angle for long-throw aerial effects. The built-in frost filter lets you soften the beam into a wash look when needed, but its core strength is sharp aerials and gobo patterns.

What control modes are supported?

DMX512, Sound Active, Scene Select (10 programmable scenes), Auto (fast and slow built-in programs), and Master-Slave. Sound sensitivity is adjustable from 0–100 in the menu.

Can I use it without a DMX controller?

Yes. Auto mode runs built-in shows, Sound Active reacts to music, and Scene Select plays your 10 saved looks. Link multiple fixtures via Master-Slave for synchronized movement.

What is the halo ring around the lens?

A 24-pixel 5050 SMD RGB strip surrounding the front lens — controllable via DMX (effect channel + speed channel) for chase patterns, color contrasts, or as a secondary visual layer behind the main beam.
