Installation, Cleaning & Maintenance
Installation
  • Mounting: Mount horizontally on a stage floor, vertically as side-pillar effects, or hang overhead via the integrated bottom brackets and standard truss clamps (sold separately).
  • Tilt Range: Verify the Y-axis tilt has clearance to move freely in your rig — do not install where the bar would strike surrounding fixtures, walls, or rigging during sweeps.
  • Safety: When rigging overhead, always pass a safety cable through both the truss and the fixture's mounting bracket — never rely on the clamp alone.
  • Grounding: Connect the PowerCon power cable to a properly grounded NEMA 5-15 outlet before powering on.
  • DMX Wiring: Use shielded twisted-pair 3-pin DMX cable. Terminate the final fixture in the chain with a 120Ω resistor across pins 2 and 3.
Cleaning
  • Front Lenses: Wipe the 10 lenses periodically with a soft microfiber cloth — dust visibly reduces beam tightness and color saturation.
  • Tilt Motor Housings: Air-blow dust away from the side motor enclosures every 200 hours of operation to keep the fans clear.
  • Housing: Wipe the metal chassis with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
Maintenance
  • Inspection: Periodically check that the mounting brackets, hanging hardware, and safety cable are tight and free of wear.
  • Tilt Motor Check: If the bar tilts unevenly, struggles to reach end positions, or stalls mid-sweep, stop using the fixture and contact authorized service.
  • Storage: Store within -22°F to 122°F (-30°C to 50°C). Lock the tilt position centered before transport.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Does this bar pan side-to-side, or only tilt?

This is a Y-axis (tilt-only) moving beam bar — the entire bar pivots up and down via a motorized tilt at each end. It does not pan horizontally. For full 540°/270° movement, see our moving head spot/beam fixtures.

What does "per-pixel control" mean for this bar?

In 43-channel DMX mode, every one of the 10 LEDs gets its own R, G, B, and W dimmer channels — letting you run chase patterns, color sweeps, ripple effects, and synchronized fans across the bar. In 7 or 13-channel modes, all LEDs share unified control for simpler setups.

Is it RDM compatible?

Yes. The fixture supports DMX512 with RDM (Remote Device Management), letting compatible consoles auto-discover and address each unit on the network.

What power connector does it use?

PowerCon-style locking connectors for both Power In and Power Out. The included 3.4 ft (1 m) power cord has a US NEMA 5-15 plug on one end and PowerCon on the other. Daisy-chain power from one fixture to the next within rated current limits.
