Installation, Cleaning & Maintenance
Installation
  • Position: Set each bar upright on its anti-slip base, or mount overhead via the M10 threaded hole on the base — floor stand and truss orientations are both fully supported.
  • Overhead safety: Always use an M10 mounting clamp (not included) plus a safety cable rated for suspended lighting when rigging above people.
  • Clearance: Keep each bar at least 8 in (0.20 m) away from flammable materials and 1.6 ft (0.5 m) from any object or surface.
  • Ventilation: Ensure open airflow around the tube; do not enclose the fixture in a tight space.
  • Electrical: Do not plug into a dimmer pack. Each bar runs on any AC 110–240V outlet.
Cleaning
  • Tube: Wipe the aluminum tube and lens cover with a soft, dry cloth after each event to remove dust and fog residue.
  • Base: Use a lens-safe cleaner monthly on the LED strip for consistent brightness.
  • Power off: Always disconnect from the mains before cleaning.
Maintenance
  • Cool-down: Allow 15 minutes for each bar to cool before servicing or repacking.
  • Storage: Store both bars in original packaging in a dry, dust-free space between events.
  • Inspection: Check the anti-slip base, M10 mount hole, DMX connectors, and power cord before every install.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Are these two bars sold together as a pair?

Yes. This is a 2-pack — you receive two complete 40-inch RGB pixel bars, each with its own bracket, power cable, and IR remote, plus one shared user manual.

Can I control the two bars separately?

Yes. Each bar has independent DMX In / Out and its own DMX address, so you can pixel-map them separately, sync them via master-slave, or run them on independent programs.

How does the 20-segment pixel control work?

Each bar's 120 LEDs are grouped into 20 zones. In 60 CH or 65 CH DMX mode, every zone has its own RGB channels, so you can build chase effects, gradient fades, or per-segment color animations.

Do the bars support RDM?

Yes. Full Remote Device Management support lets you configure DMX address and channel mode from your controller — useful when bars are rigged in hard-to-reach spots.

Time will tell as I take these to shows, but initially they are insanely good value for a tube. They stand taller than I anticipated which is a nice surprise, the base is solid. I can’t believe it’s taken anyone this long to make this light in an affordable fashion without any batteries. Smart to have the threaded bottom (and top) for mounting if you need rather more stabiltity with a tripod or possibly mounting something like a camera to the top. Nice touch!

The macros are really nice as well. Pleasantly surprised in 8ch mode just how dynamic they are. If proven to be reliable, these will be a mainstay in online video shoots and live show performances.

Use these with my 4 piece cover band. They’re so easy to set up and they look fantastic day or night!
