Installation, Cleaning & Maintenance
Installation
  • Mounting: The integrated hoop frame doubles as a floor yoke, tripod adapter (lighting stand sold separately, threaded mount on bottom), or truss hanging point with a standard clamp.
  • Orientation: Can be installed front-facing toward the audience as a stage blinder, side-facing as a wash, or hung overhead via clamp.
  • Safety: Always pass a safety cable through both the truss/support structure and the hoop frame when rigging overhead — never rely on the clamp alone.
  • Grounding: Connect the PowerCon cable to a properly grounded outlet before powering on. Verify the green/yellow conductor is securely earthed.
  • DMX Wiring: Use shielded twisted-pair 3-pin DMX cable. For DMX runs longer than 4 fixtures, terminate the final unit with a 120Ω resistor.
Cleaning

  • Front Grilles: Wipe the hexagonal grilles with a dry microfiber cloth — dust on the honeycomb screen visibly dulls the COB output.
  • Cooling Fan: Air-blow dust out of the rear cooling fan and intake vents every 200 hours of use.
  • Housing: Wipe the metal hoop frame with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents.
Maintenance
  • Inspection: Periodically check that the hoop frame mounting bolts, handle screws, and safety cable are tight and free of wear.
  • Storage: Store the fixture in a dry environment within -22°F to 122°F (-30°C to 50°C). Avoid stacking heavy objects on the hoop frame.
  • Service: There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Stop using the fixture if LEDs flicker erratically or the fan fails to spin, and contact authorized service.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How many LEDs does this fixture have?

Seven 50W warm white COB panels (one per hexagonal head) plus 63 pieces of 0.3W 5050 RGB 3-in-1 SMD pixels distributed around the COBs as backlight. Total rated power consumption is 260W.

Can I use it as both a warm-white blinder and an RGB wash?

Yes — that's the core design. The 7 warm white COBs deliver the classic vintage stadium-blinder look, while the 63 RGB SMD pixels add full-color backlight effects. Both layers are independently controllable via DMX.

Is it RDM compatible?

Yes. The fixture supports DMX512 with RDM (Remote Device Management), letting compatible consoles auto-discover and address each unit on the network.

Can I mount it on a lighting tripod?

Yes. The bottom of the hoop frame has a standard threaded mount compatible with most lighting tripods and T-bar stands (sold separately).
